The Salt Lake Chamber’s Women and Business Conference honored Linda Leckman with the Athena International Award for her work at Intermountain Medical Group and her ability to open new doors for women. Leckman started out as a candy striper at a hospital in Oklahoma. Eventually, she was able to go to college and medical school, settling in Utah to do her residency as a surgeon. When Leckman arrived as VP, Intermountain Healthcare’s group of physicians had 100 doctors. The company now employs more than 1,000 physicians.
Other women that will be honored at the business conference are Jennifer Danielson of Regence BlueCross Blue Shield, Jennifey Godfrey of Salt Lake CAP Head Start, Mary Kay Griffin of CBIZ MHM, and Susan Mayo of Wells Fargo.
